An audit engagement provides the highest level of assurance that a set of financial statements are fairly presented, in all material respects, with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Our audit work includes obtaining an understanding of the entity, including internal controls relevant to the audit in order to design audit procedures, but not for expressing an opinion on the effectiveness of an entity's internal control, completing risk assessments, testing of selected transactions, account balances and other substantive procedures, and if necessary, communicating with third parties. Our files include detailed work papers documenting the examinations and tests performed, as well as the client's supporting information obtained. At the conclusion of our audit procedures, we issue an independent auditors report, which also includes financial statements, footnotes to the financial statements and supplementary information, if applicable. Further, certain written representations from our clients are required as a component of our work.
